About Us
CG Financial Group, LLC is an innovative and fast-growing financial services firm that is located in Johnston, Iowa. CG Financial Group was created by our founder – Charlie Gipple – after twenty years of corporate leadership experience in the financial services industry. He founded this firm because after two decades of coaching financial professionals and consumers in the areas of retirement planning, insurance planning, college planning and small business planning, he recognized there were opportunities to stand out among the competition.

Charlie Gipple, CFP®, CLU®, ChFC® is known throughout the financial services industry and the media as one of the foremost educators and thought leaders in the areas of financial planning, retirement planning, life insurance and long-term care. He has conducted hundreds of agent and client educational seminars over the last two decades; ranging from small 1/1 sessions to large national meetings such as the Million Dollar Round Table, Top of the Table. As a former executive of various insurance companies, he is a sought-after keynote speaker for many types of events and topics and has also appeared in many media outlets where he provides advice on all things retirement and insurance. He is currently a financial columnist with Broker World; one of the foremost publications in the industry for life insurance, annuities and long-term care.
Charlie has also created “CG Academy” which is an online training portal that educates financial professionals on practice management as well as retirement and insurance strategies. The CG Academy is only available for CG Financial Group appointed agents.
Charlie is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Practitioner and has also earned the Chartered Life Underwriter® and Chartered Financial Consultant® designations and also holds the FINRA Series 66 (Investment Advisor representative) and Series 7 securities registrations*. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Finance from the University of Northern Iowa.
Charlie was born in Atlantic, Iowa and went to high school in Corning, Iowa. He has been married to Noelle Gipple for over twenty years and has two sons; Seth (16) and Matthew (13), who love basketball.
